ANNUAL PLAN
Annual Plan
An Annual Plan is a comprehensive action plan outlining the development activities and welfare programmes that the Panchayat intends to implement during a financial year. It is prepared based on the needs and priorities of the people of the Panchayat.
The Annual Plan generally includes:
- Construction and maintenance of roads
- Drinking water supply projects
- Sanitation and waste management
- Housing schemes
- Agricultural development
- Women and child welfare programmes
- Welfare and support schemes for senior citizens and persons with disabilities
- Health and education-related activities
- Employment generation programmes
Preparation of the Annual Plan
- The needs and requirements of the people are collected through Ward Sabhas.
- The proposals are discussed in Development Seminars.
- The Panchayat identifies and prioritizes various development projects.
- The Annual Plan is prepared by considering the available funds and budget allocations.
- The plan is approved by the Panchayat governing body and the concerned authorities.
The Annual Plan is closely linked to the Annual Budget of the Panchayat, as the funds required for implementing the various projects and programmes are allocated through the budget.
